As we drove up the
driveway, my companions and I were immediately impressed with
the beautiful “Sunshine Ridge Guest House” that
sits on 40 mountainside acres. As we entered this wonderful
home, our visit only got better. The warm entryway led us into
the expansive gourmet kitchen and dining area which also housed
a wonderful fireplace. On the opposite side of the fireplace
was a sitting area featuring an additional fireplace, floor-to-ceiling
windows and a large deck to show off the surrounding Glenwood
Springs scenery. Every window that we looked out offered amazing
views of the mountains, meadows, horses and wildlife.
This
amazing home boasted seven bedrooms that were fabulously decorated
and very inviting, as well as the large game room with a big
screen TV and pool table. The large, professionally installed
patio in the back featured plenty of furniture and a large grill.
It was a great place to soak up the warm sun in the morning!
We also had no problem parking four vehicles in the garage/driveway
area with plenty of room to spare.
The
seven bedrooms were located in the wings of the “Sunshine
Ridge Guest House”. One upstairs wing included a master
king bedroom and large master bathroom while the second upstairs
wing included a king bedroom with a second bedroom that had
a full sized bed and a twin bed. These two rooms shared a beautiful
Jack-n-Jill bathroom. One downstairs wing featured a bedroom
with a king bed with a bedroom that had two twin beds with another
Jack-n-Jill bathroom connecting them. The second downstairs
wing offered another king bedroom with another bathroom connecting
it to a bedroom with a queen bed. When it was time to turn in
for the night, we all felt cozy and warm given the abundant
amounts of privacy the home’s floor plan provided.
My
15 companions and I enjoyed great family meals and conversation
as we all sat together around the spacious dining room table.
The large gourmet kitchen was equipped with everything we needed
to cook any meal and allowed room for MORE than one cook. The
recreation and game rooms downstairs were welcoming and well
furnished. We watched football on the large screen TV and I
beat everyone at several games of pool. The recreation room
featured a futon couch and pull-out bed as an additional sleeping
option. We also spent a lot of time outside hiking and exploring
the beautiful acreage of conservation land around the Sunshine
Ridge Guest House.
The
“Sunshine Ridge Guest House” was conveniently located.
It was only a 15-minute scenic drive to the house from the quaint
shops in downtown Glenwood Springs, local restaurants, the Hot
Springs Pool, and the Iron Mountain Tramway to the Glenwood
Caverns Adventure Park.
A
visit to this spectacular vacation home will not be a disappointment.
Every moment you spend here will be a treasure trove of memories
that will last a lifetime.
